What's happened to the internet?

I find it rather annoying that these days it seems I'm not important enough any more for my so called "friends" to bother seeing what I've been up to or even send me a casual "What's happening"? The internet for myself really only includes, Twitter, Facebook and now here.
Myspace is dead and buried in my opinion, Forums are mostly a waste of time and msn is just down right boring. I'm not saying that my life is overly interesting in any way, and I'm not saying i'm more important than anyone else. But most people are so self absorbed that what the hell is the point in even wasting minutes out of your life talking to them or learning anything about them? I think I'm coming to realise that I'm much happier staying cocooned in my own little existence along with Michael and calling it even.

So in conclusion this rant of mine is saying that the internet is boring, people are self absorbed and i have no patience for any of it any more. The most interesting person I know i already live with and spend most of my time with, so there's really no need for internet "friends" and bullshit. Now if i keep going I think I'll end up talking in circles so I'm going to go back to watching "Hot Fuzz" (brilliant movie) And maybe make myself another nice cup-o-tea. Peace out and what not.
