Example of a Phished email

Hotmail is renowned for spam, phishing and bogus advertisements and here is a couple of perfect examples of these bogus emails. I suggest if you get an email from a friends email address anything like these, please let them know to change their passwords. And NEVER click the links or give out any personal details. I’m posting this in light of Michaels Blog about Phishing.

Please click the images to see bigger Versions.

emails from places like Ebay, but when i moused over the link shown it doesn’t actually go to that url. Plus…wait…i’m not selling anything on ebay!

And my favourite scam…PayPal, and again the links if you mouse over them, do NOT link back to paypal in any way at all.

So to sum up, don’t give your personal details out, don’t click email links even if you know the person who sent it (Example 1) And without clicking links, mouse over it first, the url you will be directed to should show up in the bottom left hand corner of your browser;)

Thank you and good day.
