busy busy, being a mummy!

Wow how life just rushes by when you are happy! I love being a mum. I Love doing mummy things and i love experiencing the unconditional love of a child. This is me, this is what i was born to do and i love every sleep deprived second of it!

I've been doing a lot of sewing lately. It's been a wonderful hobby to pick back up after so long and i really really enjoy making things for Kevin. My favourite thing to date would also have to be the easiest. Upcycling/breathing new life into Kevins too small batman onsie. He's recently developed a love for the 1960's batman and robbin(or in his words Batpac and Roddin) movie and watches at least once a day. I bought him a batman outfit/onsie last winter which is quite obviously maybe three or more sizes too small for him now. But with the legs removed and the bottom hemmed it's the perfect size for a shirt! The cape still fit him also, So now he has a renewed outfit to fit his new enthusiasm for those wonderful crime fighters. Will post a pic once it's try and off the line!

I want to try and blog more. It's quite obviously been a long time since my last one considering Kevin is now 18 Months old! So much has happened that i should have written about but no will never remember enough to do so. what a shame!

Next blog...maybe i should talk about MCN's(Modern Cloth Nappies) and my somewhat recent addiction to them...maybe not. Don't get me started! ha!

the birth and what not

Well colour my fanny and tickle me sideways. I just scanned when my last blog was! Since then i've had a baby shower, HAD the baby (haha) and he's now 15 days old. Now THAT is just extremely trippy because i remember thinking to myself, god the moment is never going to come when i can hold him, feed him and hug him when he wants affection. But here i am, there he is and he's over two weeks old now! the time is really flying. He's changing so quickly and i feel like if i sleep or blink or even sneeze i'm going to miss some significant moment. I've gotten used to this constant feeling that at any moment i'm going to pass out and asleep for a week, it's surprisingly easy to function this way lol.


Everythings easier than i expected, it's times like these when you wonder what the hell you were ever really worried about! For pictures there are a ton on my dailybooth account.

Preggers stuff again!

So i was visiting one of the pregnancy forums i've been frequenting these days and wrote up a reply with advise for someone who wanted it. I think it's probably the most i've written in a while so i thought i would cheat and copy/paste it here too. Obviously i doubt any of you will need this advise but i do think it's a good example of my mindset right now:)

For those who think they are small for 33 weeks, give it time it'll just jump out at you in the next few coming weeks or you may just be one of those lucky few who don't get amazingly huge!

The doctors were worried my bub was too small, Ultrasound yesterday proved he's fine and actually a week ahead in size development yay for 6 weeks instead of 7!

Getting up to go to the loo 4 - 5 times a night is frustrating, but not has bad as a few weeks ago when i was getting up at least 10 times a night, do what i do or at least try it and see if it helps! Figure out what time you normally go to bed and stop drinking large amounts of fluids about an hour before. That way you'll go before bed and even though you will be still up a couple of times in the night it won't be anywhere near as urgent and you'll be getting up less!

For the back pain my Physio was amazing, she's helped so much with only a few simple exercises! Look up stretches and exercises for pregnant woman to relieve say, back, hip and leg pain, you'll be amazed at the difference!

I'm so excited and can't wait for bub to be here. I'm a bit nervous about the c-section though! hopefully recovery time is good. Good luck to all of you expecting shortly and i hope everything goes well for you all!

How time flies these days. The pregnancy has gone pretty smoothly so far with no major issues. Not too much to report apart from the babies room being done except for the small bits and peices along the way. Will update more as things come to pass. Last trimester shortly so not long at all to go. Very exciting! It's a...

BOY! So exciting! Had the ultrasound yesterday morning and from what they could tell he's healthy and an active boy for sure! It was very clear on the ultrasound too. I'm so happy as i've been worrying for a while about if my health issues would effect the baby, but that does not seem to be the case so i'm very very relieved and very very happy. Plus, a son! that's fantastic. Unfortunately they didn't give us the ultrasound scans when we left, i think we will have to pick them up from our doctors. Hopefully the morons sent them to the RIGHT GP and not our old GP who is no longer even at the same surgery.
Anyways, it was great to see Little Kevin Michael kicking and sucking his fingers and moving around, a real treat for over an hour too. Very well worth the uncomfortable prodding around my bladder hehe!

So happy, so exciting, almost half way there!

Do you plan on a natural or medicated birth? C-Section due to medical issues.

Are you scared about labour? Not at all. I would prefer to go into labour naturally then go for the C-Section.

Do you think you will cry when you see the baby for the first time? I’m sure i will

Who is going to be with you?: My partner Michael!

Are you going to video tape it?: No but i would love to have a picture of Michael, Me and the baby when we first see it!

Do you know what you will say to the baby when you first hold it?: Probably smile cry and not be able to speak.

Do you have a name picked out?: for a girl, Missy Jones and for a boy Kevin Michael Jones

Is your baby going to be named after anyone?: Yes the girls name is a tribute to Michaels mums nickname and also His nan. And Kevin Michael is for Kevin; Michaels pop and Michael for obviously Michael and also because my dad’s middle name is Michael.

What do you think the baby will be a “daddy’s girl/boy” or a “mommy’s girl/boy”?: I think both to be completely honest!

first scan!

We had our first scan done on Monday it was an amazing experience to see the baby moving and turning and sucking his thumb/fist. Seeing it really made this a complete reality. It’s really happening and it’s not going to disappear like i had feared for weeks. I’m so happy, so excited, proud and amazed. I’m blow away and Michael has been so amazing. I couldn’t be any happier at the moment. This is just a short update entry.

                                                    This one is the clearest of the two of the arms. Here if you look closely you can see the baby’s head on the bottom left with the body on the right facing upwards. where the white arrow is pointing you can see the arm near it’s face.

A quick update

Even though I Know that anyone who reads this blog or Michaels blog
knows that we announced our big news yesterday. I still wanted to
write it here anyway. The big news is incase you didnt know is that i
am 12 weeks pregnant. We are Very Very excited about it and so far it
has been an amazing experience so far. I havent had any morning
sickness Which is very awesome. I will write much more later but for
now i have to go and get ready for wades birthday party ......

Ok so I thought I should probably get into gear and write a new blog.
So for the moment i'm without my laptop for god knows how long. The
power cable is broken from what I can tell which isn't going to be
covered under warranty. Meaning i'll have to pay for it and right now
there is no way I can afford to. So I am stuck using my Pda and
wireless keyboard its ok at lease I have something to use as opposed
to nothing at all. So here I sit next to Michael watching The X-Files
really quite enjoyin myself. Michael and I have big news coming up
very soon but that's still to come. On a funny note I just punched the
crap out of his right arm until he was all "Ow ok stop stop"! I found
it pretty damn funny haha. Ok so that's it for now i'm off.

Mother fucking fucker

Just wrote a blog to have it not post and close so it’s lost in the depths of hell now. Fuck it. It’s not like it was anything too interesting anyways. Mostly just me moaning about shit and going on about how boring and uneventful my life is.

Undaily musings of course!

Hmmm so i haven’t written anything in a couple of days, weird that huh…not really. Fucking Simpsons on TV again, god channel 10 let it damn well go.  I hate it so much.  I would rather bash my head against a wall laced with broken shards of glass and shark teeth.

So Michael threw his back out and has been painfully moving around very little even after taking Codeine. I tore my toe’s open on the stairs yesterday so we both sitting around mostly out of action. I’ve been amusing myself with books on my Dopod and playing Farm Frenzy that i downloaded off of a torrent last night.

We’ve had Joe over for the past couple of days which is always fun and enjoyable. He’s great. He even gave us his old stereo he doesn’t use which sounds spectacular in my opinion, especially with the old Stereo’s speakers hooked in along with the new ones.

Apart from that we really haven’t been able to do too much. Dave came over on the weekend which was nice. Always good to hang out and catch up with him. Even if i was tired like a little old lady and went to bed early. Funny contrast to my now insomnia problems.

That’s really about it to update on my boring ass life…

Something that really grinds my gears

Have anyone else (besides Michael) ever noticed that 99% of Youtube users who comment on other peoples videos have a severe Inferiority complex? It’s as though they sign up with accounts and post negative comments about other people (who don’t deserve those types of comments) just to make themselves feel better and validate their inferior pathetic existences.

It’s one thing to give some creative criticism but it’s a whole difference kettle of fish to just post shit comments to every video you see. It really gets under my skin. Someone needs to hunt those people down, one by one and give them all kicks to the backs of their heads as they run away in terror screaming.

I suggest if you get an email from a friends email address anything like these, please let them know to change their passwords. And NEVER click the links or give out any personal details. What a day, what a day…

today has been a very long today, Went out sometime after 2pm payed rent and did all that crap. Came home. Went to Calamvale, put photos in at Big W, Had Calzones for dinner, Picked up the photos, came home again, Went back out to JB-HiFi at the Hyperdome to pick up a DVD, came home again. Realised we had an overdue game from blockbuster, So we had to go out again to drop it off. Came home again, and so here i am right now, finally got changed into my PJ’s, hoping Michael will hurry up on the home and his laptop so we can go, sit in the lounge room and watch the DVD we got today. So exhausted i feel like i just want to pass out.

Just downloaded…

So i just downloaded the beta version of Windows Live Writer the blogger desktop application and decided i should test it out and see how it works and if it’s worth using over having to go to my blogger dashboard online every time i want to write a blog. So far so good it seems. How to test adding an image. It’s the one thing that really shits me about blogging from the website, whenever you add a photo it adds it to the top of your blog no matter what part of your blog you’ve selected it to go.

Ok well that worked like a charm plus it added the photo exactly where i wanted it to go not where it decides it wanted to put it, hoorah for that.

So it seems to circumvent the most annoying points of the blogger dashboard that annoyed the crap out of me. All well and good so i think i do recommend Windows Live Writer booyah!

Photoshop = Love

Ok so i've been going pretty nuts today since I've reloaded Photoshop CS2 onto my computer. Michael was wanting me to do some "Tom goes to the Mayor" Style images of him for some time now and I've only now been able to do them. They are fairly easy but take a while to cut the images out properly so they don't look too dodgy. I'm pretty happy with how they all turned out though so all is well and It's kept me busy most of the day that i've been home.

Again no housework was done..ah well i'm not actually too phase about that right now. Joe's staying here tonight so that we can take him to a job interview tomorrow. His car's out of action and so is Susan's for the upteenth time. That must completely suck. I think she's going to get a new car. I remember last time she picked it up from the mechanic's they said that it was just going to keep having problems and they suggested to get rid of the car asap and get a new one. So i am assuming thats whats going to happen.

On another note I've been starting to look at new rentals. Michael and I really want to get out of here. I'm so over the area it's not funny anymore. Woodridge have been good to us don't get me wrong...BUT i want to move to a more people friendly suburban area and i want to move into a house. Townhouses are just too much for me these days. Stairs are NOT my friend heh.
